Dear blog readers:

I have noticed that I've been getting hits on here from all over the place, and I'm curious as to who is reading and following along with me on my mission to run a marathon.  If you'd like, leave a comment on this post telling me who you are, where you're reading from, if you're a runner or not, and why you like my blog.  Also, if any of you have blogs, I would love to know the url's so I can see what everyone else is up to! Keeping this blog has been such a great outlet for me and a fun way for me to track my training.  I would love to get some feedback.  Thanks, all! :)

  1. Hi! I'm a beginning runner and relatively new fitness fanatic. I blog at indigogirl.typepad.com. The category "Hammer and a Nail" covers my journey to fitness. Otherwise, the blog is a journal of my life with my husband and 3 kids.

I found you when I was looking for blogs of other moms who run or work out. I am always trying to fit my work outs in around my kids and work schedule. Your commitment is intimidating - it seems like you spend 1.5-2 hours a day on fitness!

  2. Hi, Linda! Thanks for your comment. I've looked at your blog and it seems like you have a very busy life as well! It can be hard to fit in time for workouts when you have small children. I was just telling my husband that I'm worried about how my training will go after today, as it is my kids' last day of school before their summer break. Some days they're more cooperative than others. ;) Anyway, I look forward to checking out your blog some more, and please feel free to comment anytime!

  3. HI!

I'm a relatively new runner, too - that is, if high school track and sporadic (but enthusiastic) running throughout the years doesn't count.

You've inspired me to start a blog, too - I have 4 boys and a garmin in common with you! I'm using the same Daily format, for I find it much easier to track and for others to follow, too.

    I blog at www.arunningjunkie.blogspot.com ... come visit!

  4. Hey, I'm Laura in Ga. I just signed myself up for a marathon in November and I like reading other beginner blogs such as yours. My blog is nothing special and with school, I am not able to write nearly as often as I would prefer. Also, I strained my hamstring so I am not running right now either. :( I keep waiting for the stiffness to go away on its own, but it seems to be getting worse. Oh well, I am sure I will be better soon.

  5. Hi!!!! I'm Nathasa from Malaysia & currently in Australia, studying. After delivered my baby last year, I become so unfit and overweight. So, my new year resolution is to get fit. I love to workouts and join group exercises at my uni. To make life more challenging, I registered for a 10k run this July, and that's why I read your blog...for motivation & training regimes. Wish me luck!!!!

  8. Becca!! Thanks for your comment. I saw (on FB) that you recently did a 5K; that's awesome considering you just had your little girl! This is my first attempt at the running thing. It's been almost 4 months since I started, and it's finally becoming more natural. You should do a blog. It's very motivational when you know you have to "report" to people who are reading and following your workouts. You are the inspiring one. I am in awe of where you are in your life, considering all that you've been through! You are so beautiful, and a great role model for your Young Women. :)
