Happy Patriot's Day!

This morning I did a 9.22 mile run which took me about 1 hour and 42 minutes, and dedicated my efforts to those who courageously ran the Boston Marathon today in record breaking heat!  My running and life mentor ran it today with his daughter and afterwards he texted me that the heat was horrible to contend with during the race.  But they finished.  Sometimes the races and runs with the most obstacles can have the best afterglow effect on us.  As much fun as it is to run in "perfect" conditions, the feeling you have after accomplishing something that seems insurmountable, well, there's nothing like it.  So here's to all those runners who finished Boston today!

  1. Yes, congrats to them!! I can't imagine running that far in that heat. Also, doesn't the race start mid-day? Nice job on your run!
